Many head and neck cancer patients and survivors suffer from persistent background pain as well as brief but severe and sudden flares of pain called breakthrough pain in cancer (BTPc).

This survey hopes to create a better understanding of BTPc. Insights from this survey will help in the development of educational programs that encourage anyone experiencing BTPc to learn more about it and discuss it with their healthcare providers. The survey results will appear in a future newsletter from SPOHNC. If you have ever experienced BTPc, SPOHNC urges you to share your insights with us. Click here to take the survey.
